Here there is a video summarizing some events that took place last year, how many can you recall?

It has been a long time since I haven't  added anything to this blog, I am just focused in my current blog : santacatalinaenglishblog.blogspot . This blog is aimed for vocational studies, but there is a lot of stuff that you may like it.
But as I see that this blog still has visits, I have decided to share with you one Ted Talk that I specially like (I am a great fan of these Ted Talks) . I hope you like it.

Some of you have often asked me what you could do to improve your oral abilities, I have always answered the same: get used to watching series, films and videos in English. You think is hard, but it isn't if you find series easy to understand and that are entertaining as well. One of these series is "Friends" here you have some footages of it, so you can confirm what I am saying.

LIBROS DE INGLÉS PARA EL CURSO 2016-17            


En la ESO seguimos con "Real English" student's book de la Editorial Bulington.
Los alumnos que vayan a cursar estudios en la sección bilingüe, en principio no deberían comprar libro hasta que empiece el curso y decidamos que libro van a utilizar.

Los alumnos de Bachillerato cambiaran de libro, este año usaremos:

- "Key to Bachillerato 1. Edt. Oxford. ISBN: 978-0-19-461105-3        para 1º de Bachillerato.

- "Key to Bachillerato 2. Edt. Oxford. ISNB: 978-0-19-46119-0 para 2º de Bachillerato.

También ya están decididos los libros de lectura para los distintos curso, la lista se encuentra en la sección de "criterios de calificación y lecturas" de este blog

NEW EVENT : MARCH 17TH.  "THE LIMITS OF THE WORLD RESOURCES"

Next March 17th, Alberto , the History teacher has organized a discussion among teachers of different areas and students of 2nd Bachillerato. During all the morning we are going to discuss the limits of our growing in an exhausted earth. I think it is really important to be aware of what is happening now and what we can expect you we don't react quickly.
Here you have a video, it is long, but it is really worth to watch.

El día 23 de Marzo varios departamentos del instituto se han unido a la sugerencia hecha por Alberto, profesor de historía, para hacer una mesa redonda donde participen alumnos y profesores donde se tratará del reto que será alimentar a una superpoblación con los recursos del planeta.
El departamento de inglés también hemos querido poner nuestro granito de arena y es por eso que intentaremos trabajar este tema con los alumnos de Bachillerato, para eso os dejamos aquí unos vídeos y unos textos de selectividad que trabajaremos en clase.
